Announcing two special award recipients.
A native of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, Captain Jeffrey W. Timby graduated from Duke University and Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his post-doctoral education in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases in Richmond, VA. In 1995, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.
After several deployments for Task Force Tarawa, Task Force Guantanamo and missions in Afghanistan where he served as the Senior Medical Officer, Officer in Charge and Medical Director, Captain Timby was assigned as the Deputy Commanding Officer at Tripler Army Medical Center and Commanding Officer at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.
Captain Timby has obtained qualifications as an Undersea Medical Officer and the Fleet Marine Force Warfare Officer designator. In July 2020, he was selected the U.S. Command Surgeon, Central Command, MacDill AFB.
