Guest Speaker: Joseph Dituri, Ph.D., 

USF Associate Professor


Dr. Dituri is a lifelong explorer, world-record holder, retired naval commanding officer, published author, and global speaker.

Most recently he has garnered international media coverage for living underwater as part of Project Neptune, a 100-day underseas mission. While below, Dr. Dituri taught his students online while conducting primary research on the human body in isolated, compressed, and extreme conditions. Operating from the Jules ’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida, on day 73 he broke the Guinness World Record the for longest time spent living in a fixed underwater habitat.

Join us as we hear Dr. Dituri’s interesting story and how his experiment will help shape the future of medicine!
